Based on the results of the 2024 general election and the decision of the General Election Commission (KPU), the results of the election recapitulation for the legislative (pileg) and presidential (pilpres) elections have been finalized. The pair of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka obtained 96,214,691 votes, thereby securing victory. Consequently, the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD and Anies Rasyid Baswedan-Muhaimin pairs suffered defeat. This defeat has prompted the losing parties to engage in political maneuvers, such as joining forces with the winners of the 2024 presidential and vice-presidential elections, in order to benefit their parties. Nasdem and PKB joining the Prabowo-Gibran government coalition has influenced the latest dynamics of national political consolidation post-election. The entry of these two key Coalition for Change parties automatically strengthens the government coalition's foothold in the legislative branch. This research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This approach is used in problem analysis to obtain a deep and comprehensive understanding of the phenomena experienced by the research subjects. The findings suggest that the political party coalition within the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet reflects Jokowi's lingering power dynamics. However, the large coalition influences cabinet formation by using the political system of reciprocity as the basis for power distribution. This results in positions being placed based more on party interests than on the competence of each individual. Consequently, the efficiency of the cabinet and the government as a whole decreases because those in positions of power are not experts in their fields, but rather are placed there due to power interests.
