This article emphasizes the importance of improving the quality of public services in Indonesia through innovative approaches to public service delivery. Although important for public welfare, public service delivery in Indonesia faces significant challenges, particularly outside Java and Bali, where service quality is often perceived as poor. Factors that contribute to poor quality include inadequate financial management, ineffective political representation, corruption, and a lack of transparency. This article proposes that public service innovation should be based on administrative ecology, which involves understanding the interdependence between public administration and its surrounding environment. Three main aspects are highlighted: public interdependence, harmonious community development, and a systemic approach to administration. Such innovation can enhance service quality, foster community engagement, and ensure that services are culturally responsive and relevant. Ultimately, integrating technological advances and aligning them with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is crucial for achieving long-term improvements in public services.
