Learning motivation is a crucial factor influencing student success in mathematics, particularly at the Vocational High School (SMK) level. This study aims to describe vocational high school students' mathematics learning motivation from a gender perspective. The study employed a descriptive approach supported by qualitative data. The subjects were 20 11th-grade Accounting students at a vocational high school in Garut Regency, comprising 10 boys and 10 girls. Data were collected through a mathematics learning motivation questionnaire structured around five indicators: interest in the subject, persistence in learning, striving for achievement, need for success, and social influence. Interviews served as supporting data. The questionnaire data were analyzed using percentage analysis, while the interview data were analyzed thematically. The results showed that both male and female students' mathematics learning motivation was strong across all indicators. However, there were differences in tendencies, with male students being more dominant in the aspects of interest, persistence, need for success, and social influence, while female students were more prominent in the aspect of striving for achievement. These findings suggest that mathematics learning motivation is influenced by different gender characteristics.
