WEB-BASED GUEST VISIT MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM AT THE NORTH SUMATRA CITY ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTRY OFFICE

Abstract

The guest visit information system at the Environment and Forestry Agency office is currently still managed manually using a conventional guestbook. This leads to various obstacles, such as messy recording, limitations in historical data retrieval, and delays in reporting. This study aims to design a web-based guest visit management information system to support the process of recording and reporting visits at the Medan City Environment and Forestry Office. The system development method uses a waterfall approach with stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system was built using PHP and MySQL and is equipped with admin login, guest data input, data search, and a reporting dashboard. The results of the research on the web-based guest visit management information system can be used to record guest visits, manage guest data, and print guest data
