Model PBL dalam Meningkatkan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Kelas VII SMP

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran PBL (Problem Based Learning) pada materi bangun ruang kubus dan balok kelas VII SMP Negeri 61 Palembang. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII.5 SMP Negeri 61 Palembang yang berjumlah 31 orang peserta didik. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 2 siklus yang dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2024-Maret 2024. Tiap siklus pada penelitian terdiri dari 2 pertemuan dengan alokasi waktu 2JP (80 menit). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik di kelas VII.5 pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2 yakni sebesar 16,18%.

This research aims to determine the level of mathematical concept understanding of students using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the material of 3D shapes geometry (cubes and cuboid) in class VII at SMP Negeri 61 Palembang. The subjects of this research were 31 students of class VII.5 SMP Negeri 61 Palembang. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted with 2 cycles which were carried out in February 2024-March 2024. Each cycle in the study consisted of 2 meetings with an allocation of 2 times (80 minutes). The data collection in this research were observation, tests, and documentation. The results of this research showed that there was an increase in the ability of mathematical concept understanding of students in class VII.5 in cycle 1 and cycle 2 by 16.18%.
