Abstract

Al-Madina Islamic Boarding School in Banjarnegara is an Islamic educational institution that conducts an intensive Quran memorization program for its students (santri). However, the current manual method of recording memorization progress poses several challenges, such as slow information dissemination, potential data loss, and difficulties for parents in monitoring their children's development routinely and in real time. These issues result in inefficiencies and a lack of transparency in the memorization evaluation process. To address these challenges, an Android-based Quran memorization monitoring information system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach. RAD was chosen due to its ability to accelerate system development through prototype iterations and active user involvement. The system includes features such as digital memorization logging by instructors (ustaz), automatic notifications to parents via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and progress reports in the form of downloadable e-report cards (e-Rapor) accessible through the app. The system also integrates digital Quranic pages sourced from the EQuran.id API. The implementation of this system enables a more systematic memorization recording process, facilitates rapid and accurate information delivery, and enhances communication between the boarding school and parents. This development not only addresses administrative issues but also represents a foundational step toward digital transformation in pesantren educational management.
