KEKERASAN DI TELEVISI DAN PERKEMBANGAN ANAK

Televisi sebagai media yang memiliki kelebihan “motion pictureâ€nya menjadi media yang paling dituding berpengaruh terhadap meningkatnya kekerasan yang terjadi. Gambar bergerak menghasilkan imajinasi yang luar biasa dalam benak pemirsanya, apalagi bagi anak-anak. Dengan pikiran anak-anaknya, mereka lebih mudah mengadopsi suatu perilaku dalam kehidupan nyata akibat adanya “modelling†yang ditampilkan televisi.
 Anak-anak yang melihat tayangan yang kejam akan lebih mungkin untuk menentang, otoriter dan membantah dibanding anak-anak yang tidak menyaksikan tayangan kekerasan. Dari perspektif belajar sosial, anak belajar perilaku dengan meniru apa yang mereka liat dan tayangan kekerasan di media agaknya langsung mengarah ke perilaku mereka

7. Miscellaneous
