Abstrak

Masalah: Kajian tentang pemanfaatan peristiwa bencana untuk kepentingan politik telah banyak dilakukan.  Modus dan motif politisasi bencana juga semakin beragam, mulai dari yang paling sederhana dan kasat mata hingga yang canggih dan tak terasa. Jika pemahaman mengenai bentuk-bentuk politisasi bencana ini tidak dibarukan secara berkesinambungan maka kemampuan membaca situasi akan berkurang.  

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan memperkaya kajian mengenai politisasi bencana dan memberikan kontribusi bagi penguatan strategi mitigasi dan penanggulangan bencana serta perumusan kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan manajemen risiko bencana

Metodologi: Penelusuran literatur sistematis

Hasil Penelitian: Modus politisasi bencana dapat berupa ekspos data, eksploitasi ketakutan, lobi pengambil keputusan, pengalihan risiko manajemen, politik bahasa, dan penggiringan opini mengenai penyebab bencana. Kepentingan politik yang terkandung di dalamnya dapat berupa kehendak mempertahankan kekuasaan atau mendeligitmasi pemerintahan, sedangkan kepentingan ekonomi yang melekat padanya adalah akumulasi modal melalui inisiatif proyek pekerjaan yang berhubungan dengan manajemen kebencanaan.
