Abstract

This community service project was conducted in Wanakarta Village with the aim of raising awareness and improving residents' skills in managing organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The program introduced techniques for fermenting household and agricultural organic waste, such as food scraps, vegetables, and fruits, using decomposer microorganisms. The results of this activity showed that residents were able to significantly reduce the volume of organic waste and produce high-quality LOF that can enhance soil fertility and crop productivity. This program not only provides an environmentally friendly solution to the problem of organic waste but also economically empowers the village community through the potential sale of LOF. This community service recommends the broader and sustainable implementation of this organic waste management method to support a cleaner environment and the well-being of Wanakarta Village residents.
