WORKSHOP PENULISAN KARYA ILMIAH UNTUK MAHASISWA PROGRAM PENDIDIKAN VOKASI UNIVERSITAS SERANG RAYA
Abstract
The ability to write and think critically must be taught in every learning activity to maximize students' competencies. Writing is an activity that expresses ideas and/or thoughts in writing. Based on the initial analysis of students from the Serang Raya University Vocational Education Program, several problems were found, including students' insight into research methodology is still lacking, mastery of the theories used in research is very minimal, students' ability to access scientific work information from the internet is still minimal, and still many copy pastes are found. Therefore, there is a need for assistance in writing student scientific papers. The target output of community service is to increase students' understanding of the types of scientific work and write articles in accordance with existing guidelines. The targets of the scientific paper writing workshop are students of the Serang Raya University Vocational Education Program. This activity was attended by 40 students who were carrying out their Final Assignments. The method of activity carried out is with assistance in the form of training and practice in compiling scientific papers. The implementation of the scientific paper writing workshop can be concluded that the activity received a good reception with students actively asking questions during the training and following along until the end of the activity.
