Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of work motivation as a mediating variable in the relationship between interpersonal conflict and workload on employee performance at Cv Erfanara Karya Mulya. A quantitative descriptive approach was used, with a sample of 100 respondents. Data analysis techniques included instrument testing, classical assumption tests, coefficient of determination, hypothesis testing, path analysis, and the Sobel test to examine the mediation effect, using SPSS version 25 for Windows. The results show that both interpersonal conflict and workload have a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Furthermore, both variables also significantly influence employee performance. Work motivation was found to have a positive and significant impact on performance and significantly mediates the relationship between interpersonal conflict, workload, and employee performance based on the Sobel test. These findings highlight the crucial role of work motivation in strengthening the positive impact of psychosocial factors on individual performance in a manufacturing work environment.
