Pendekatan Berbasis DMAIC untuk Perbaikan Proses Suplai Bahan Baku

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi transaksi bahan baku di area penyimpanan dan proses kerja material handling yang bertugas menyuplai bahan baku ke area lini proses perakitan AL.agar lebih akurat. Masalah utamanya yaitu adanya perbedaan data bahan baku yang masuk ke area penyimpanan dengan output hasil produksi, kemudian adanya antrian saat pengambilan bahan baku dikarenakan perlintasan yang padat pada jalur pengambilan,sehingga berdampak pada keterlambatan bahan baku pada lini proses. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, data sekunder dari laporan hasil transaksi di tempat penyimpanan bahan baku yang dianalisis menggunakan metode DMAIC, dengan tahapan Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, dan Control. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan akurasi data transaksi bahan baku, berkurangnya tingkat stok, berkurangnya keterlambatan pasokan bahan baku, menghilangnya potensi kesalahan proses, mengurangi tingkat kepadatan lalu lintas di area penyimpanan bahan baku, percepatan informasi dan pengendalian stok secara real-time. Pendekatan DMAIC dapat memperbaiki akurasi data stok bahan baku mencapai akurasi 100%, mengurangi tingkat kepadatan jalur pengambilan bahan baku sebesar 50% sehingga proses suplai lebih cepat dan sesuai kebutuhan dengan mengurangi lead time 1,8 hari menjadi 0,5 hari.
