Perancangan Ulang Tata Letak Fasilitas Produksi Menggunakan Modified Squirrel Search Algorithm

CV XYZ merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang memproduksi cup gelas dan galon. Saat ini, penempatan beberapa departemen CV XYZ masih belum sesuai dengan aliran proses produksi sehingga terjadi gerakan balik (backtracking) yang mengakibatkan jarak perÂpindahan material lebih panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang tata letak departemen sehingga jarak perpindahan material menjadi lebih pendek. Metode yang diusulkan adalah modified Squirrel Search Algorithm (SSA). Berdasarkan data layout peruÂsahaan saat ini, dimensi setiap departemen dan frekuensi perpindahan material diperoleh 9 alternatif tata letak (layout) usulan. Layout dengan urutan departemen A-B-E-G-F-C-D-H merupakan solusi terbaik karena menghasilkan total jarak perpindahan material paling minimum sebesar 2731,5 m. Total jarak perpindahan material berkurang sebesar 372 m dibandingkan dengan total jarak perpindahan material pada layout perusahaan. Sehingga diperoleh efisiensi tata letak usulan dengan algoritma SSA sebesar 11,99%.
