The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires teachers to be more creative in preparing learning media. Optimization of website-based media in learning is a necessity. This community service program is carried out to answer challenges for teachers and is carried out in the form of intensive training. The target of the implementation of the activity is teachers at the kindergarten, elementary and special school education levels in East Java. In its implementation, a survey of teachers has been carried out and it was found that teachers need other auxiliary applications to build learning media that students like and are more interesting, and the selected application is wordwall. The Wordwall application is website-based and makes it easier for teachers to evaluate student learning outcomes. From a survey of 213 teachers, 60 teachers were selected to take part in intensive training on the use of wordwall applications. The success of this program is measured by the assessment of participants, that the implementation of the program is going well, in accordance with expectations and providing added value for teachers in developing learning media, this can be seen in the average score given by participants of 3.77 on a scale of 1 to 4.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a complex condition characterized by increased androgen levels, menstrual irregularities, and/or the presence of small cysts in one or both ovaries. The incidence of PCOS increases every year, including in Riau Province. Therefore, this service is carried out on teenagers, namely female students at the An Nizam Minas Islamic Boarding School, Siak Regency, to see the picture of PCOS in teenagers so that they can change their behavior and attitudes regarding eating patterns and better lifestyles so that it does not interfere with fertility in teenagers if they are diagnosed with PCOS. We intend to provide education regarding PCOS to teenagers and carry out ultrasound examinations on students who are suspected of having PCOS. The indicator of the success of this activity is that there is an increase in students' knowledge regarding PCOS through analysis of pretest and posttest results. Through this activity, publications will be produced in national journals, mass media publications and intellectual property rights. We show that there is an increase in the level of respondents' knowledge about PCOS between before and after the activity.

Pemanfaatan Digital Marketing pada UMKM untuk Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Lokal di Desa Kerjen, Kabupaten Blitar

Abstract

The development of information technology can encourage local economic activities in the community, namely entrepreneurial activities. By utilizing information technology, MSME players can increase market share through digital technology. Therefore, the focus of this service activity is socialization regarding the use of digital marketing in Kerjen village, Blitar Regency. This service activity was carried out in two stages, namely socialization regarding the use of digital marketing and focus group discussions to find out the problems faced by MSME players. From the results of the Focus Group Discussion, it is known that the main goods/products produced by the majority of residents in this village are of course related to the agricultural sector, such as fruits, namely oranges, vegetables, rice, corn, eggs and fertilizer. Apart from the agricultural sector, Kerjen village also has a developed livestock sector such as goats and cattle. However, the MSMEs in Kerjen village are experiencing problems in marketing their products. From the results of service activities, it is known that (i) MSME actors have not fully utilized digital marketing in marketing their products (ii) Some MSME actors who use digital marketing can further increase their market share.

Abstrak

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dapat mendorong kegiatan ekonomi lokal masyarakat yaitu kegiatan berwirausaha. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi maka pelaku UMKM dapat meningkatkan pangsa pasar melalui teknologi digital. Oleh karena itu, focus dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi terkait pemanfaatan digital marketing di desa Kerjen, Kabupaten Blitar. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui dua tahap yaitu sosialisasi terkait pemanfaatan digital marketing dan focus group discussion untuk mengetahui permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh pelaku UMKM. Dari hasil dari Focus Group Discussion diketahui bahwa Barang / produk utama yang dihasilkan oleh mayoritas warga di desa ini tentunya berkaitan dengan sektor pertanian seperti buah-buahan yaitu jeruk, sayur mayur, padi, jagung, telur maupun pupuk. Selain sektor pertanian, di desa Kerjen juga tergolong maju sektor peternakannya seperti ternak kambing, sapi.Namun, pelaku UMKM desa Kerjen ini mengalami kendala dalam hal pemasaran produknya ini. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian diketahui bahwa (i) Pelaku UMKM belum sepenuhnya memanfaatkan digital marketing dalam memasarkan produknya (ii) Beberapa pelaku UMKM yang menggunakan pemanfaatan digital marketing dapat lebih meningkatkan pangsa pasarnya.

Pelatihan Pertolongan Pertama Pada Kecelakaan (P3K) di Masyarakat Kelurahan Tanjung Perak Kota Surabaya

Tanjung Perak adalah salah satu wilayah atau kawasan strategis di Kota Surabaya untuk pendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi. Mayoritas masyarakat Tanjung Perak bekerja dengan membuka usaha. Dimana suatu kecelakaan dapat dengan mudah terjadi dan dibutuhkan bantuan segera dan tepat untuk melindungi korban dari potensi bahaya. Pelatihan Pertolongan Pertama Pada Kecelakaan (P3K) bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan warga agar mampu berperan aktif dalam pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan bagi seluruh masyarakat dalam menghadapi kondisi kecelakaan di sekitar dimana hal tersebut sangat bermanfaat untuk menyelamatkan jiwa korban dan meminimalisasi kecacatan. Adapun yang menjadi fokus utama kegiatan pelatihan ini merupakan warga dari RW 01 Kelurahan Tanjung Perak Surabaya dengan jumlah peserta dalam pelatihan terdiri atas 30 warga. Pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan pelatihan P3K ini meliputi beberapa tahapan diantaranya adalah survei kelompok sasaran, persiapan, pelaksanaan kegiatan, dan evaluasi. Dimana pada pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode ceramah, praktik, dan tanya jawab. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan paired sample T-Test ditemukan nilai sebesar 0.012<0.05, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan mengenai Tindakan P3K dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pelatihan.Tanjung Perak adalah salah satu wilayah atau kawasan strategis di Kota Surabaya untuk pendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi. Aceh Barat Regency is directly facing the sea and has many local potentials that can be utilized, including rebon shrimp. In the rainy season, many rebon are caught, but in the dry season, many small fish are caught. People usually sell fish and rebon directly at very low prices. Pumpkin shrimp, which are dried, are then resold. As one of the perishable fishery products, prawn shrimp must be processed so that it can last for a long time. For years, shrimp paste warehouses have been processing rebon into shrimp paste. However, the industry has not maximized its production. Therefore, there was a training to increase the production capacity of shrimp paste by using printing aids, which can produce more shrimp paste in one printing process. This training is intended to improve the ability of industrial houses to produce products with time efficiency in production. The training assisted industrial houses in streamlining the shrimp paste production process, allowing them to increase their production capacity in a single production run. In addition, terasi business owners received training on product branding to increase sales and expand the market, thereby increasing revenue.

Pengenalan dan Pelatihan Microsoft Word Pada Siswa-Siswi Sekolah Dasar

Tujuan diadakannya kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah karena masih ditemukan sejumlah siswa SDN Semolowaru IV yang belum pernah mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam terkait penggunaan Microsoft Word. Pelatihan ini diadakan di SDN Semolowaru IV pada tanggal 20 Oktober dan 23 Oktober 2023 dengan melibatkan kelas VA dan VB dengan total 60 siswa-siswi. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan kami melakukan survei tempat serta persiapan bahan materi. Tahap pelaksanaan, tim memberikan pre-test untuk mengukur pengetahuan mereka tentang Microsoft Word serta tim memberikan paparan materi mengenai Microsoft word, kemudian terdapat sesi praktik yang meliputi penggunaan font, ukuran font, perataan kanan, perataan kiri, dan warna saat menulis pada fitur home, dan terakhir terdapat sesi tanya jawab serta post test. Tahap evaluasi dilakukan pengolahan data hasil pemahaman peserta didik terkait Microsoft Word melalui hasil pengerjaan pre-test dan post-test yang telah dilakukan. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan siswa-siswi yang dapat menjawab benar dari kelas VA sebanyak 42,14% dan pada VB sebanyak 39,28%, sedangkan pada hasil post-test didapatkan siswa-siswi yang dapat menjawab benar dari kelas VA sebanyak 67,86% dan pada VB sebanyak 70%.

Building a Strong Foundation for Academic Writing: A Training and Mentoring Program with Mendeley and Publish or Perish Platform for Final Year Students

Abstrak

Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya norma penulisan akademik yang tepat dan memperkenalkan pengelola referensi, seperti Mendeley dan Publish or Perish, sebagai alat untuk membantu mahasiswa dalam mengatur referensi dan mencari metadata karya ilmiah. Keefektifan alat bantu ini dieksplorasi dalam meningkatkan kejelasan, kemudahan belajar, pengoperasian, dan daya tarik karya ilmiah mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan inisiatif pelibatan masyarakat untuk melatih mahasiswa semester akhir dalam menggunakan Mendeley dan Publish or Perish untuk skripsi mereka.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari mayoritas responden, yang menegaskan kegunaan aplikasi-aplikasi ini dalam penyelesaian tesis, terutama dalam pembuatan daftar pustaka. Namun, tantangan, seperti masalah yang berkaitan dengan pemahaman, kemudahan dipelajari, dan pengoperasian, diidentifikasi di antara sebagian kecil pengguna. Rekomendasi yang diberikan mencakup peningkatan kejelasan dokumentasi, mempromosikan perilaku pencarian informasi yang proaktif, dan memberikan pelatihan lanjutan mengenai kemampuan Mendeley dan Publish or Perish.

Sebagai kesimpulan, penelitian ini menyoroti potensi Mendeley dan Publish or Perish dalam meningkatkan kualitas karya ilmiah. Dengan mengatasi tantangan melalui intervensi pendidikan yang ditargetkan, alat-alat ini dapat memainkan peran penting dalam memaksimalkan efektivitas proses penulisan akademis bagi siswa. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan untuk mempelajari tantangan spesifik yang dihadapi oleh pengguna, sebagai bahan masukan untuk perbaikan yang sedang berlangsung.

Abstract

This study emphasizes the importance of proper academic writing norms and introduces reference managers, such as Mendeley and Publish or Perish, as tools to assist students in organizing references and search engine of scientific papers. The effectiveness of these tools is explored in enhancing the clarity, learnability, operability, and attractiveness of students' scientific works. The research employs a quantitative approach and community engagement initiatives to train final-semester students in utilizing Mendeley and Publish or Perish for their theses.

The Results indicate positive responses from the majority of respondents, affirming the utility of these applications in thesis completion, especially in bibliography creation. However, challenges, such as issues related to understandability, learnability, and operability, are identified among a minority of users. Recommendations include enhancing documentation clarity, promoting proactive information-seeking behaviour, and providing advanced training on the capabilities of Mendeley and Publish or Perish.

In conclusion, this study sheds light on the potential in improving the quality of scientific works. By addressing challenges through targeted educational interventions, these tools can play a significant role in maximizing the effectiveness of academic writing processes for students. Further research is recommended to delve into specific challenges faced by users, informing ongoing improvements.

This community service aims to optimize the marketplace in order to increase sales of Luluana Craft Indonesia products, by expanding the market through digital marketing. Based on observations, SMEs have limitations in online marketing, which is only done conventionally. This activity uses a method which is divided into several stages including, pre-activity stage, socialization stage, mentoring stage, and evaluation stage. Implementation of this activity begins with the pre-activity stage, which is the stage of planning material that suits the partner's needs, followed by the delivery of digital marketing, marketplace material, as well as creating accounts on social media and digital platforms, followed by assistance to partners until the partner is able to market their products. by online. The results of this community service show that partners are very enthusiastic about participating in this activity because their understanding of digital marketing has increased. Partners have wider opportunities to market their products, so that apart from increasing sales and other goals, their contribution to handling plastic waste increases.

Sistem Penerangan Tanaman Sayuran Hidroponik Menggunakan Energi Surya Pada Kelompak Tani dRangrang

The need for lighting to monitor the development of hydroponic vegetable crops at night in the Drangrang farmer group has so far used an electricity source from the Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). Thus, it requires costs to pay for electricity usage every month. This is felt to be quite a burden for farmers because profits are reduced due to additional expenses. The aim of this community service activity is to build a lighting system for pak choy vegetable plants using solar energy for the drangrang farmer group, residents of RT10/RW03, Tirtajaya sub-district, Sukmajaya sub-district, Depok. The method used is to create a solar power plant with a capacity of 200 Wp with a load of incandescent lamps for the lighting needs of vegetable plants at night. The result is that the hydroponic vegetable growing area can be illuminated with 6x@50 W lamps, so that monitoring of the plants can be carried out at any time, both day and night.

Development of Solar Photovoltaic Generation System for Farmer Groups in Kualu Nenas Village Kampar District

This article aims to describe community service activities carried out by the implementation team in Kualu Nenas village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau. As a village and sub-district that is very close to the city of Pekanbaru which is the capital of Riau province, this village has a very important role as a supplier of vegetable commodities. One of the difficulty faced by farmer groups is that during dry season (sunny), water sources, as one of the important factors in vegetable crops, are very difficult to obtain. To overcome this, this community engagement aims to build the solar photovoltaic generation system as an energy source for submersible pump motors to draw water from the location of water sources and deep well made by farmers on their land. With this solar PV generation system, agricultural locations that are remote from national grid (PT PLN) supply can still operate their pump motors to get water. The stages of this activity are divided into several stages, including surveying the solar PV system construction site, designing solar PV generation system and building solar PV generation system so that it can be operated properly. This activity could run well with the support and cooperation of farmer partners who are actively involved in every stage conducted.

Elections are a common thing among Indonesian people and are also one of the things that is mandatory to form a sovereign state. Holding fair elections is very important, because elections themselves are the main means for democracy, and at the same time the realization of the will of the people. The large number of cases of election violations and the disproportionate number of findings and reports obtained indicate a lack of effective law enforcement. The aim of holding this service activity is to understand the community about existing regulations so that if there is a violation of election regulations, the community can voice their disagreement. Based on the participants' accounts, they were satisfied with every explanation given by the presenters and they understood that they had the right to receive as much information as possible about the offers they wanted to convey and election participants also expressed their programs and ideas. Violations that often occur are usually administrative in nature and take the form of election criminal violations, therefore the KPU should frequently hold outreach regarding problems, namely looking at election regulations and violations: education and assistance to Peguyangan Kangin village residents. The method used is to provide political education to the community so that the final result is that the community can differentiate between existing regulations whether during the campaign a political party has violated existing regulations or not.
